Westwick And Szohr Fell In Love As Friends
GOSSIP GIRL sweethearts ED WESTWICK and JESSICA SZOHR began to fall in love while they were dating other people, according to the brunette actress.
The castmates have been a couple since last year (08) and only began their romance while confiding in each other about their other romantic interests.
Szohr explains, “It can be a little awkward when all of a sudden (you have feelings for) someone you’d call to talk about a different boyfriend.
“But there wasn’t a lot of thinking and talking. It kind of just happened. We had fun together, and we were like, ‘All right, let’s see where this goes.’”
And Szohr is grateful to the show – as well as finding love on the set, she also made a group of new pals: “I’ve heard horror stories from other actors about egos, people who don’t get along, but we’re all friends. There are people from this job who will be in my life for a very, very long time.”
