UAE’s Exports to Saudi Arabia Exceed $266 Bn

Riyadh, Sep 3 (IANS/WAM) The UAE’s exports to Saudi Arabia surpassed one billion Saudi riyals (about $266 million) in June, while Saudi exports to the UAE were valued at 961 million riyals, officials said.

Saudi-made non-oil exports to member states of the Arabian Gulf Cooperation Council rose by 20 million Saudi riyals in June to about two billion riyals, while imports from member countries surged by 54 million riyals to 1.7 billion riyals The Central Department of Statistics and Information said in a report Thursday.

Kuwait took the second spot after the UAE exporting goods worth 360 million riyals to Saudi Arabia and importing goods worth 115 million riyals.

Total Saudi non-oil exports grew 22 percent in June to more than 10 billion riyals, while imports dropped one percent to 29.1 billion riyals.
