Two Indians Appear in MIT’s Technology Review List

New Delhi, Aug 26 – Two Indians figure in Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s prestigious Technology Review’s 2010 TR35 list for their outstanding contribution in the fields of energy, biomedicine, communications, information technology, transportation and the web.

Indrani Medhi, based at Microsoft Research India’s Bangalore lab, was named for her field research to design text-free interfaces that could help illiterate people find jobs, get medical information and use cell-phone based banking services.

Rikin B. Gandhi, founder of the non-profit organisation Digital Green, was recognised for her extraordinary contribution in the field of farmer education.
