Two Indians Aboard Hijacked Ship: Officials
Mumbai, Oct 19 – There are two Indians in a 21-member multinational crew aboard the ship, MV Kota Wajar, hijacked by Somali pirates last Thursday, officials said here Monday.
According to the directorate general of shipping (DGS), there were two Indians among the crew of the vessel, hijacked off Seychelles.
The ship’s owners, Pacific International Lines, have also informed that the vessel has now reached the Somali coast close to Hobyo and negotiations are currently on with the pirates for the safe release of the crew members.
The DGS has sought details of the two Indian crew members, their condition and contact details from the Singapore Maritime Authority and the owners.
