Tweedy Lands St. Louis Honour
WILCO frontman JEFF TWEEDY has landed his own day in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Illinois native learned of the honour just before he took the stage at Loufest on Sunday (29Aug10), and confessed he was stunned by the tribute, presented to him by the city’s mayor Francis Slay.
He told fans, “It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard… I guess none of you have to go to work tomorrow, ’cause traditionally Jeff Tweedy Day is a three-day weekend.”
