Sachin Dons New Cap, is Air Force Group Captain
New Delhi, Sep 3 – Indian sports icon Sachin Tendulkar was Friday conferred the honorary rank of group captain by the Indian Air Force (IAF) for services the cricketer has rendered to the nation through the sport.
The cricketer was presented his rank by Air Chief Marshal P.V. Naik at a function here.
‘I cannot even say it is like a dream come true. It is like a visual thinking,’ an overwhelmed Sachin said, after Naik attached the rank insignia on to the sportsman’s IAF uniform.
