Rahul Gandhi’s Office Rubbishes News of Fashion Event
New Delhi, Sep 3 – Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s office Friday rubbished reports that he will walk the ramp for the India Fashion Carnival in Kolkata along with his sister Priyanka Vadra.
‘Absolutely incorrect. We don’t know where it is coming from,’ said an official from Rahul’s office.
Officials at Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s office said they were not aware of any such development.
A supplement of a national daily Friday reported that the brother and sister duo may walk the ramp at the grand finale of IFC, Sep 10-12, for designers Riyaz Ganji and Soumitro Mandal for their Khadi collection that they will showcase as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
When IANS approached Pratik Sen, director of Mindscapes One, organisers of the IFC, said: ‘I am not aware of it.’
Designers in Delhi refused to comment on the news.
