Osbourne Looking Forward To ‘fatty’ Future
SHARON OSBOURNE is looking forward to retiring from showbusiness – so she can get “fat”.
The TV talent show judge and rock manager has long battled her weight, undergoing highly dangerous gastric band surgery in 1999 and losing 100 pounds (45 kilograms).
But despite the procedure, Osbourne still struggles to keep her figure in check – and can’t wait for the day when she no longer has to look good for the camera.
She tells Britain’s Now magazine, “I’m meant to (diet). You’d have thought I’d learnt the lesson after having colon cancer and bulimia. The problem is I want to enjoy a dinner with friends, but I know that the next day I’ll be wearing it on my legs. I get the trainer to come round, then she sits and reads books because I’m on the phone. I need to wake up and take care of my body, but I don’t.
“When I stop working on TV the floodgates will open and I’ll end up a fatty, but I’ll be happy. I want to be a granny and grannies are supposed to be fat. Why are people interested in my size? I’m just a middle-aged woman who happens to be in the limelight.”
