Mccartney Lands Top Library Honour

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY is to be honoured by the U.S. Library of Congress – he is to become the first non-American to receive the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.

An all-star tribute to the former Beatle is being planned in Washington, D.C. for early next year (10).

McCartney is only the third performer to be awarded the accolade, behind Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder. (KL/WNWCBB/IG)
