Jackson Gave Green Light For Song

A cover version of MICHAEL JACKSON’s hit HEAL THE WORLD is to be recorded in memory of a murdered British child – after the THRILLER star was moved to tears by the tragedy.
Jackson gave permission for the Bulief group to produce a new version of his song to help fund a unit for bullied children in Liverpool, England, before his death in June (09).

The building will be constructed in memory of two year old James Bulger, who was abducted and murdered by ten year olds Jon Venables and Robert Thompson in north-west England in 1993 – a case that sent shockwaves across Europe.

And James’ mother Denise Fergus has revealed Jackson gave permission for the cover version when he heard of the horrific killing.

She says, “Michael was so moved when he heard about James that he sent me a personal message and flowers. He even wrote a poem. I feel positive with the single as it means a lot to me.” (ZN/WNTSU/MJ)
