Former PM’s Centre to be Tourism Spot

Chandigarh, Feb 3 – The Bhondsi farm developed by former prime minister Chandra Shekhar in Haryana’s Gurgaon district will be developed as a tourist spot for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

Spread over 588 acres, the area is now controlled by the Bhondsi village panchayat (council).

The former prime minister, who died in July 2007, had developed the area as ‘Bharat Yatra Kendra’ with natural green cover on hillocks and lakes.

The Commonwealth Games will be held in New Delhi in October.
