Dramatics Founder Ron Banks Dies

London, March 6 – Ron Banks, the founding member of American soul music vocal group The Dramatics, was found dead at his home in Detroit, Michigan. He was 58.

According to reports, the singer died of a heart attack.

The band scored its first hit in 1967 with ‘All Because of You’, but they tasted huge success in the early 1970s with ‘Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get’ and ‘In the Rain’.

The Dramatics enjoyed another seven top 10 R&B singles in America in the 1970s.

Banks helped to give the act its signature sound, thanks to his falsetto vocals.
