Doherty’s Manager Pleads Guilty In Crash Case
PETE DOHERTY’s manager has pleaded guilty to a charge of dangerous driving following a car crash last September (09) which left a man fighting for his life.
Andrew Boyd was accused of running down 42-year-old Chris Corder in Suffolk, England and driving away without stopping.
Corder has been in a coma since the accident and is still being treated at the Royal London Hospital.
Babyshambles boss Boyd admitted the offence at a hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday (29Jan10). He also pleaded guilty to four other charges including failing to stop at an accident scene.
Judge David Goodin told Boyd he is facing a stretch behind bars: “The offences you pleaded guilty to are serious ones. It may very well be that custody is the only sentence for you.”
Boyd has been bailed and is due to be sentenced on 24 February (10).
