Cheryl, Ashley Officially Divorced

London, Sep 3 – British singer Cheryl Cole’s marriage to soccer ace Ashley was officially declared dead Friday, when they were granted a divorce.

Cheryl separated in February after four years of marriage amid allegations Ashley cheated on her with a string of women, reports contactmusic.com.

She filed for divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour and district judge Christopher Simmonds Friday granted the couple a decree nisi.

According to the report, neither party attended London’s High Court Family Division and the order was passed in just over a minute.

They have been asked to wait for six weeks before a decree absolute is issued, officially ending their union.

The pair married in 2006 and has no children.
