Banhart Goes Beardless
Folk rocker DEVENDRA BANHART has shaved off his trademark beard – and he feels naked without it.
The half-Venezuelan singer/songwriter insists he was “born with a beard” and finds it odd sporting just a moustache and soul patch.
He says, “I just decided that I would let myself appear the way I was intended to appear biologically.
“We’re quite hairy down in Latin America. We don’t have to use sponges when we wash dishes. We just use our baby beards.” (KL/SP/MT)
